ABOUT ME

Hello!
My name is Hannah Lorenzen, and I am an advocate for health, physical activity, and the life lessons that it can teach. I'm from Stony Brook, New York and have always been deeply connected to athletics and physical education. After graduating from Ward Melville High School in 2017, where I excelled in my academics along with field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse, I continued my education and graduated from SUNY Cortland. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a concentration in Adapted Physical Education in 2021, followed by a Master’s degree in Health Education in 2024.
While at SUNY Cortland, I played varsity lacrosse from 2018 - 2022, serving as team captain during the 2022 season. These experiences shaped my leadership skills and reinforced my passion for promoting inclusivity and lifelong wellness. My goal is to inspire others to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle through creating positive and long term habits, sports and education, by motivating and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.

My dream is to become a physical education teacher and coach, where I can inspire my students to lead active, healthy lives and show them the value of teamwork, perseverance, and resilience. I want to help my students build confidence, social skills, and a strong work ethic that can be applied to all areas of life. I would love to coach different levels of field hockey and lacrosse, or be a part of any other coaching opportunities that arise.

Some hobbies of mine is that I like to go camping, play tennis and pickle ball, travel, hiking and love everything outdoors. A goals of mine is to travel to all the 50 states.
