whats the goal?
The goal of physical education is to develop physically literate individuals who have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity. To pursue a lifetime of healthful physical activity, a physically literate individual
SHAPE America sets the standard for health and physical education in the U.S., and its National Standards for K–12 Physical Education serve as the foundation for well-designed physical education programs across the country.

Ø Chasing, fleeing, dodging (skills used in tag and group games)
Ø Body awareness (body parts and body shapes)
Ø Spatial awareness (moving through space by self and with others; moving in different directions; at different levels; and on different pathways)
Ø Develop personal skills
Ø Relationships (partners, cooperative group activities, and team sports skills)
